November 1-3, 2019- Flow State Workshop

An Embodied Flow weekend workshop with Tara Judelle

This workshop is designed to help bring practitioners into a state of flow by working in areas in the body that are proven to relate to optimal states of flow- similar to musicians being “in the pocket” or athletes being “in the zone.” There will be asana, meditation, free movement and partner work all with the intention to deliver us into the state of flow that creates easeful, optimal dance through life.

Classes will include lecture, asana, free movement and meditation.

Friday: MADHYA
Described as the space between breaths, the gap between thoughts, the Madhya, is like the darkness of the night sky that holds the brilliance of the stars. In this opening class, we will move through a slow flow of shapes and forms from the space of the middle to create a fluid meditative space in the vocabulary of form.

Saturday morning: RECIPROCITY
The bridge between our individual self and the interrelatedness to the outer environment. This class looks at creating the three-dimensional container of self in relationship to the environment around to find support within and without. This class will play through arm balances and backbends in flow creating buoyancy and feedback that makes the inner and outer environment remain in constant knowing of one another.

Saturday afternoon: RESILIENCY
Muscle re-patterning; working with partners in order to establish and open new pathways in the body, followed by movement through standing pose flows, this class invites one to open up new possibilities of potential inner rivers in order to find new vocabulary for the body. Working in partners and transitioning into more innovative flow sequences this class will tickle your bodies desire to utilize your entire self.

Sunday morning: FLOW
Pouring ourselves into moment to moment presence allows the full spectrum of our awareness to be harnessed by what we are doing. The subject and object in states of flow can merge, creating a time/space blur. Moving our meditation into movement gives us a repeatable practice to glide with more presence and ease through transitions.

November 4-8, 2019- Embodied Flow™ Immersion with Tara Judelle

Embodied Flow Immersion: The Five Principles

Embodied Flow is a continuum of movement and expression drawing from the discoveries of hatha, tantric and somatic movement systems to experience yoga as a living art form. Both philosophy and method, Embodied Flow training and practice provide the technology and pathways to a deep sense of ease, strength, and connectivity in the human form, empowering practitioners to be their own greatest teacher. Our aim is to allow for a greater agency, flexibility resilience and flow as facilitating awareness in their entire body-mind, to experience and remain connected to the unified field.

The immersion is a five-day comprehensive submersion into the world of Embodied Flow, designed for those who want to segue from other systems of yoga into advanced training, for those practitioners and teachers that which to enhance their knowledge and practice in the integration of mind-body-spirit, and those Embodied Flow practitioners that want to revisit the material in order to deepen their comprehension and refinement of the material.

While immersions are considered an introduction, they also encapsulate an entire body of material in a five day period to serve as a retreat, review or refresh into the world of sensing, feeling, and action. The understanding and practice of the immersion experience continuously unfolds. The hope with immersion is to serve as a touchstone for practitioners to meet the material again and again and to expand the conversation with new and ever-expanding group minds.

Our immersions draw on meditation, contemplation, free movement, asana, partner work, experiential anatomy (initiating asana flows from different body systems: skeletal, organ, endocrine, muscular, developmental, nervous system), tantric philosophy,
somatic psychology, and pranayama.

The schedule presented is a general template and may change according to the intuition and instinct of the facilitator as well as the needs of the particular group.
