Somatic Kundalini
100h immersion with Tara Judelle
This 100h Embodied Flow immersion will focus on the energy of Kundalini in the somatic realm. Using the glands, fluids, bones as somatic doorways, combined with breathwork, mantra, meditation and free movement, we will anchor in the tantric text of Vijñāna-bhairava.
Kundalini is the sacred energy of the universe said to be coiled in the base of the spine, three and half times like a snake. Early Hatha yogic practices were designed to wake up Kundalini. Yet this “esoteric” energy is a real-life force that can be awakened gently, and gradually.
The Vijnana bhairava is a discourse between Bhairava (the "fearsome one", or "the dark matter/ Shiva") and the goddess Bhairavi (Shakti or Form). 112 Tantric meditation methods offer centering techniques in very compressed form which are meant to lead to the recognition of the true nature of reality.
Using the technology of embodiment, we will spend five days focusing on the somatics of the energy body. We will combine non-linear movement and breathwork supported by grounding practices, and journaling, to unpack the dialogue of formlessness and form.
